BLACK WIDOW. One death too many (2)

Richard recapped what he knew about the case so far in his head. Senator Anthony Medina was a former senator in the House of Assembly, rich beyond comprehension he was more popular for his lavish parties and extremely luxurious lifestyle. He owned several businesses including an Oil and Gas servicing company and there were rumors that he was behind most of the appointments in the NNPC and NIMASA, Figure heads placed strategically in several Ministries and State Government Cabinets to ensure his Government Contracts never stopped flowing. He was without a doubt one of the most influential men in the country.
Two days ago rumors had started circulating that the Senator had been kidnapped, according to what he had gathered ,the Senator had not been seen 48 hours after he hosted one of his lavish parties at a popular boat club in Ikoyi, it was not unusual for the senator to travel without informing his household so they had not been alarmed when he did not show up after the party for …

BLACK WIDOW. The Misguided Detective (1)

He walked into the study as directed by the manservant at the doorway, he marveled at its opulence and exquisite furnishing, chandeliers dangled from the ceilings , it’s clear cut glass sparkled like diamonds suspended in the air giving the room a whimsical look, he spotted by the corner a piano perched by the dining set, carvings etched on its wooden frame signifying it was an antique of great value, the sofa was soft to the touch he gave an involuntary whistle as he sighted the magnificent painting that stood on the far side of the wall , even to his untrained eye he could tell that it was of great value, with his hands perched in his pockets he continued to survey the room marveling to himself  “There are Rich and there are “Rich” people “he thought, everything in this house smelt of long money, not quick riches obtained from Bank loans and sharp deals, the wealth he could see in this house was the type of wealth where Bank CEO’soutside the country would be on first name basis w…

Vladmir Putin and Sepp Blatter Two peas in a pod:Putin says Blatter deserves Nobel Prize.

Russian President, Vladmir Putin just announced during an interview with a Swiss broadcaster RTS, that Embattled FIFA President Sepp Blatter deserves a Nobel Prize for his work of leading world soccer's governing body.
Now it got me thinking ,what does the Russian leader have in common with the Swedish administrator?what is the nexus between these two men, well for one thing they both have controversial leadership tenures, they have almost a fanatical group of supporters who term them as heroes and equally an aggressive group of detractors who label them as villains.
Now not to diminish any of Blatter’s achievements this man has won countless of awards and taken FIFA to greater heights during his seventeen year reign, He sought to increase the influence of African and Asian countries in world football through the expansion of participating teams in various FIFA tournaments. Blatter's reign has overseen a vast expansion in revenues generated by the FIFA World Cup and Africa in…

The case of the missing funds and the sick ex petroleum minister.

It's no more news that Millions of dollars went  "missing" in the petroleum sector during the tenure of President Good luck Jonathan. It's also not news that the former Petroleum Minister known for her lavish lifestyle and "expensive " habits has been fingered to be amongst the ex officials that would be investigated by the new government , but what is breaking news is that apparently she has been allegedly battling an unknown illness at a UK hospital.'s interesting that this piece of information is coming out shortly after the Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomole announced that some US government officials informed their entourage that one of GEJ's ministers stole as much as $6billion , and they were all interested in investigating these atrocities committed. Of course nobody has fingered the Beautiful Ex petroleum minister as the culprit, (well except Sahara reports and every other Politically minded Twitter user ) but it's unoffici…

New method of Kidnapping on social media websites.

I cannot stress  enough the importance of being  very cautious and security conscious  on social media, avoid giving out your personal information to strangers you meet online and be very careful when meeting up with people for business or personal purposes.

One lucky would be victim narrated his ordeal on the social website Nairaland of how he was almost kidnapped and robbed in Owerri, Imo State.

The narrator who is obviously a project developer or Architect got a call from someone who claims he saw his project online and was interested in giving him a job/project  in owerri. The narrator got to Owerri only to be pushed around with delay tactics trying to extend the meeting point till late in the evening, eventually directing him to meet them up at some place.

The Descendant's Tale (III)

Odibo was excited when he laid out the whole situation to him the next day,  “This is Epic mehn, you need to check that old dude out..”  Odibo responded excitedly, “Guy are you actually buying into all this stuff." Nnamdi chastised, "i mean seriously it sounds like a childish bedtime story to me.”  “Look Nnamdi what do you have to lose? We are already here and who knows what we will find out, I think its exciting and no matter how modernized we are this is Africa, and you have to admit your family history is extremely strange, just hear the guy out.” Odibo rationalized,   If only his friend  had an idea of the kind of dreams he had been having recently, strange was an understatement.
Last night he had dreamt of a woman, a beautiful seductive woman with long  flowing hair , red lips and dark eyes calling out his name, he was beginning to think the whole situation was beginning to affect his psyche. If this old man didn’t have answers he just may join his sister and serve in the ch…

Hulk Hogan reportedly fired by WWE, amidst racist remarks “storm”

Here is what we are hearing, sometime overnight, all mentions of Hulk Hogan were erased from The wrestling company and the wrestling icon split over some allegedly racist remarks Hogan made this past week.
The racist comments in question were allegedly made in a radio interview back in 2012. There is a video making the rounds online which allegedly has audio of the “tirade” and features Hogan on DJ Whoo Kid’s radio show, Whoolywood Shuffle, which aired on Eminem’s Sirius XM channel Shade 45.
However it gets worse, the national enquirer is reporting that it has nothing to do with the radio interview but from an exchange with heather clem his sex tape partner. Extract of the conversation contained below.

Obamamania Takes over Kenya ahead of US President's visit.

If you are from Kenya then you are aware that the greatest news in town is that The President of the U.S.A is heading your way.

He is to arrive his ancestral hometown later today to address an entrepreneurship summit and hold talks on trade and investment, security and counter-terrorism, and democracy and human rights.

In anticipation of the president’s visit a new hashtag has appeared, well it’s not a new hashtag but just re-purposed for the historic trip: the preparations in Nairobi are, in fact, being hailed as a new #Obamacare.

That’s not all that is being re cycled, like your typical African nation massive refurbishment of amenities have been going on all week, Filled potholes, refurbished pavements, new security cameras and most conspicuously newly planted grass to adorn the streets where the presidential motorcade will ride ,

Dame Patience Jonathan embarassed at Port Harcourt Airport.

Barely two months after the exit of her husband from office, former First Lady and wife of immediate past president, Dame Patience Jonathan has allegedly suffered ignominy and molestation at the hands of security operatives and aviation officials at the Port Harcourt International airport.
Dame Jonathan, who was on her way to the burial of her late Chief Security Officer (CSO), Tamuno Jacob Igbomie, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, was on Wednesday prevented from entering the VIP Lounge of the airport, a privilege she had enjoyed in the last 16 years.
The former First Lady arrived Port Harcourt International Airport and made for the VIP lounge as had been the norm and should still be accorded her given her status in the society. However, she was practically locked out and prevented from accessing the lounge.
An eye witness, who narrated the incident, said that efforts by the former president’s wife and her personal aides to pacify the security agents at the airport to allow the long kn…

Bomb Blast Victims Cry out to Buhari To Probe ‘N80 Billion Victims Support Fund’

Victims of the various bomb blast which has ravaged the northern part of the country since 2010 has pleaded with President Muhammadu Buhari to institute a probe into the N80 billion raised by the Committee on Victims Support Fund set up by President Goodluck Jonathan.
The victims, who lamented that they were dying under avoidable circumstances, particularly due to the lack of funds to seek adequate care either here in Nigeria or abroad are asking the president to ascertain the whereabouts of the money raised by the committee.
The victims operating under the aegis of the Bomb Victims Association of Nigeria (BVAN), also want one of them to be included in the probe panel to be set up by the president.
It would be recalled that the fund raising committee targeted N50bn to be raised from a ceremony organized for that purpose, but then Special Adviser to Ex-president Goodluck Jonathan revealed that a total of N58.79 bn from the ceremony.

So it’s officially been 54 days since President Buhari became the 15th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria or the 13th if you discount him and President Olusegun Obasanjo’s returning terms and Nigerians being as impatient and opinionated as we are, have continually complained about the slow pace of his governing style. I have done a brief write up (ok it’s long) on the Pros and Cons of his Leadership style so far, you can read below.
His Achievements so far:
The Fight against Terrorism and Insurgency: Appointment of new service chiefs. The President appointed Major-General Abayomi Gabriel Olonishakin as Chief of Defence Staff; Major-General T.Y.
